Drying Herbs

The children observe fresh herbs from their garden dry out and transfer from fresh herbs to dry herbs. We discuss how the herbs change over time.

Welcome to Little Muddy Hands

We are a gardening and sustainability program for Early Childhood children. We will come to your centre on a weekly basis and implement a hands on program with the Kindergarten children (3-5yr olds). The children will learn about caring for a garden and growing their own food while exploring and learning about  the plants in their garden. As well as getting dirty in the garden the children will have opportunity to explore and investigate their environment. The children take an active role in caring for their environment and contribute to a sustainable future (NQF 3.3)

Our Philosophy

At Little Muddy Hands we have a strong belief that children learn from having a hands on experience, we will scaffold their learning but the children will be responsible for all aspects of the garden and other activities we provide.

At Little Muddy Hands we believe that educating our children about being sustainable and educating them about our environment is crucial. Sustainability is more than vegie gardens and recycling
